by Miquela S. on Hey! This place! The Boy and I were touristing around in Seattle, which had changed so very much since in the 10 years since I'd left. He wanted to see the ballpark and we got thirsty, so I busted out my trusty Rateclub app and found this gem. And oh, what a gem. it was happy hour and we managed to snag the upstairs table...sweet! Many happy beers were consumed, balls were smacked with other balls and two cheerful drunken tourists were eventually released into the bright sunlight to stumble back to the hotel. Need I say more?
by Justin C. on Rise is the only real afterhours and one of the realest - period - dance music parties in Boston. Leave it to the gays to turn the 'bean on its head! We love them so! This is a 2 floor, private, members only afterhours, the sort of which I never thought I'd see in Boston. It's a joyfully harmonious coming-ling of the beautifully wasted, those scant few Bostonians who need just a little more night, and a gaggle of local boys. It's a house & techno lovers heaven, and their talent bookings are on par with any venue in the country. Getting the chance to play there was an absolute pleasure. You should not be missing out on this place if you go out in Boston with any regularity.
by Abram Gansen on I haven't eaten here but I have had the opportunity to drink here. First the good...the wallpaper is simply the best wallpaper I have ever seen. I mean come on..."what is that? velvet?" So that's the good. The bad is that every time I order anything other than their Ethiopian beers they seem to be out of it. If you look at the taps about half of them are topped off with a cup. WTF? Somebody there needs to learn inventory management. The vibe is mixed. Don't know quite what to make of it. Truth is that I take girls there for the wallpaper and that's it. Otherwise there are better places to eat and drink in the neighborhood.
