Went to STK to celebrate a friend's birthday.  The atmosphere was great (not first time there) as was the food. Li'l Macs appetizer was out of this world and is highly recommended.  We all had different versions of the Filet Mignon entree and all enjoyed it thoroughly (mine was with black truffle topping). Service was prompt and polite.  Only comment I would make is that the wine list is way overpriced!

I've been here a couple times this summer now and I can officially say that I've fallen in love with the Frying Pan. While the trek out to 26th & the West Side Highway is not for the faint of heart, the trip is definitely worth it. After navigating through a seemingly endless array of Chelsea high-rises, one is greeted with the most peculiar image of two wooden bridges leading onto a barge that looks as if it came straight from the bayou. From there you can move around a rustic if not whimsical assortment of aging kegs and yards of rope that are effortlessly strew about the vessel. Now park yourself up to the bar and order from their rather wide array of grilled fare. While none of offerings here are exactly culinary masterpieces, they all seem to magically taste like the best food you've ever had once you've downed a couple beers and are sitting on the top deck taking in the views of Jersey and Lower Manhattan. Wait around until sunset, to fully appreciate the Frying Pan as some of the most incredible vistas of the Hudson can be seen from your very table. But know that if you stay too long you'll get caught in the after work crowds that love the frequent this place in the summer months. Not that that's a bad thing, just be aware that you will and your co-workers will be standing shoulder to shoulder for some time. If you have yet to visit, start to plan your first trip to the Frying Pan now before its too late. There are only a couple weeks left in the summer!

Go to the first floor and order one scorpion bowl and one order of scallion pancakes for every two people in your party, then get the hell out of there. Don't forget to steal all of the little plastic mermaids and giraffes. There's no better way to start a Mass Ave bar crawl. I actually ate dinner here once and it wasn't toxically bad, but seriously, Mary Chung's is like 10 minutes away on foot.
