When my friend said "Bubble Lounge," all I could think of was pearl tea drinks and lots of fobby Asians.  We had to wait in line at around 11 and it was pretty darn cold, with some rowdy ass out of town girls who eventually went from curiously funny to downright annoying.  I'm taking off a star because of the lame line this place has.  You can tell that the place caters to a significantly older crowd during dinner hour then has mostly young people coming through at night. While it maybe mostly Asian... there were also some non-Asians.  The upstairs is the lounge with lots of space for your party to sit but lots of space to stand and socialize.  Initially, I didn't realize their was a downstairs that is literally a joke for a dance basement.  I'm surprised how foggy and claustrophobic it felt there.  Lame music and people with bad dancing skills.  If you want a to really dance, go to a mega dance club.... not here. Towards the end of our stint here, we witnessed a quick and seemingly bloody fight break out.  A couple of guys pushing and shoving then fists finally flying.  Couldn't tell what was going on afterwards, but some guy ended up with a white shirt covered in blood!  Didn't notice that until my friend pointed it out.  I think watching it unfold just added fuel to the fire.  I've seen serious fights break out a number of times now in SF, and I would have given them the same rating if one didn't happen.  The strange SF vibe here and sorry dance basement just don't cut it for me.

This place benefits and thrives mainly from its great location.  If Jillian's was located anywhere else in the city, I'm not sure it would get as much business as it does mainly because their food is just average and it costs way too much for a pool table.  I wouldn't mind coming here for a beer or two and catching a game on their gigantic tv wall but for good food and pool, there are plenty of other places in the city that would satisfy your cravings without breaking the bank.
