by Alyson R. on First - the reviews are true - the service is awful and surly. For that they got minus one star. Everything else I really enjoyed. Atmosphere was fun and weird, drinks were strong and tasty. And the food was awesome!! We got the Showroom which had some of the best chacuterie I have had in Austin. We also got the Rabbit, the Venison and the Steak Frite - everything was very good. The best recommendation is to order several things and share. Also go early, as they run out of certain items. Definitely recommend this place for the food, but be prepared for some pretty terrible service and a wait - try ordering 2 drinks at a time...
by Otto Secky on I actually had dinner here today, but after looking at the other reviews for this place it's been knocked down a notch. I'm just not feeling the 'newness' of many of the other reviewers. So yes before I read all these other suspect reviews it was a 4 - now it's a 3. But anyways my experience was that the bar is nice and big and lives up to my expectations for a go-to bar around Burnet/Anderson. Not really much else in the neighborhood for a girl with fhancy taste like me but close to work and I may recommend for Happpy Hour some nights. Dinner was meh, our server was very enthusiastic about his job so that's very welcome. I had the ahi tuna burger which turned out quite messy and the temperature was lukewarm. My bf had the beef fajita tacos and he gobbled them up. Our appetizer of shrimp and oysters was good and when the couple next to us had the same thing delivered they declined main entrees and only had salads - so the sizes are pretty big. The crowd was 30+ in my estimation so a nice after work hangout.
