by Benjamin S. on This is the 'pretty gay bar' in midtown probably due to location. Drinks are STRONG (at least with my bartender) and they have a drag show every Friday and Saturday night (which I skip, but some people do like this). Blake's is walkable for me and most of gay midtown, so you'll get a lot of locals. Where the drag show is held on Friday and Saturday nights, it turns into a dance floor (around 1am or so). Fun place.
by Stacie T. on The club itself it weak to me. The music they play in the main area sucks but the hip hop in the back room is usually on point. It gets ridiculously crowded and most of the time I escape to the patio to just be able to breathe. But oddly enough I always have a good time there. Once I went to meet some friends (a couple so you already know it's 3rd wheel status for me) but I ended up talking to some really cool people and left satisfied. This is definitely one of those places that I'd go cause someone invited me and not one I'd suggest for a night out.
