I've been here cause my good friend promotes party nights here. We get treated like royalty. Bottles and Models fill up our booth all the time. The music is always on point and the parties wild!. I don't know the normal nights!

**REPOST** (and true story!) in honor of Spitzer's call girl... miss Ashley Dupre, this one's for you! i came here on the opening night of Retox and also for a private birthday party for one of their biggest promoters. if it wasn't for the "open bar", i probably would have never chose to come here. the set-up is very strange and it's shared with another club next door. if you're flirtatious with the bouncers, they'll let you sneak into "Myst". *EDITED ADDITION* ____________________ Miss Ashley- was one of the cocktail waitresses/servers at this joint. i remember her chatting it up with all the big-spenders. the party i was there for... he happened to be a big-shot, too. Ashley did not waste any time flirting or saying, "hi" to our Jolly-Good Fellow... sitting on his lap and even whispering/giggling every few seconds. she was definitely not the go-go dancing type, though. she's more of the PR/meet and greet type of gal. interesting... right? however, she was GREAT to us. i think that's what the extra "1 star" is for. despite the scandal, she does her job well... which is keeping her clients happy. kudos, Ashley... kudos. *EDITED ADDITION* ____________________ it's like they're trying to emulate the vibe of MisShapes but hit it with a little bit of glam and posh-ness... but it really doesn't work for them. i was confused by the whole layout and decor. a montage of celebs on one wall, Victorian chandeliers and seating, go-go dancers on top of the bar, a small VIP room that no one cared too much for, and the DJ himself was seriously confused that night. it was as if he was playing his I-Pod playlist... because one minute it was back to back Justin Timberlake, Fall Out Boy, Michael Jackson, REM, Nelly Furtado, Guns and Roses, and then threw in a little Bangles. huh!?! it didn't seem like our group of friends were the only ones confused in there. no one knew what the hell kind of beat they should be dancing to because the DJ would cut it up with a slow Mary J. Blige joint. uhhhh? it was a blistery night- cold as hell with our wool jackets and mittens, but i kept going outside to hang out with the bouncers and caused ruckus with some people in the smoking section. i guess i would have preferred hanging outside than inside the club. the concept is confused, the vibe is slightly out of sync, and the DJ needs to be replaced with... ME! sheesh.
