I don't care what anyone says. If you go to a place called "DUVET" you should know exactly what to expect. And that's sleazy good times. I heard cover is alot for guys, but if you are on guestlist or get in like we did, after being picked up by one of the many promoters drawling the line, then this place is a good place to be. Music was actually better than expected, the hip hop was newer songs, not 6 months ago, some poppy dancehall and a couple ok house songs in the very beginning. Yea, the crowd is younger, and a little sleazy, but if some girls wanna go out and dance and get a little tipsy, you will enjoy the many VIP "beds" (with drawers for the shoes) and the atmosphere that says "let's get crunked"

Went here to see Thelonious Dub play and that was awesome.  The food was pretty good. I had their prime rib and I said "as raw as possible" and there was not a pink spot to be found.  And, I was the first person there, so they couldn't use the "it's all gone" excuse I get so often.  However, the meat tasted really good. I also had a dirty martini made by the uber hot bartender my friend Victor was getting to know.  It was very tasty. As for a venue, it works nicely.  The sound was excellent and, of course, Thelonious Dub is worth seeing anywhere.  so they really added to the event. As for people like Raul P. who think that paying for food separate from the cover charge is strange - um ... I don't quite get you.  The cover goes to the band.  The food money goes to the venue.  And the band ain't making Ferrari money off your $15. What Raul and I seem to agree on is that Hollywood Studio Bar and Grill brings in good music and the food is less good.

oh, the starlight room.  i have fond memories of this bar.  it's perfect on a night earlier in the week when there isn't a crowd.  they have quality mixed drinks and if you're not feeling that a glass of sparkling is always suiting.  it's calm and very dimly lit, so no doubt you will be relaxed in this setting.  the chairs are really comfortable and the tables are ideal for groups and good conversation.  the best feature of this entire place is the vast, endless supply of windows and the views of the city from every side and angle.  it's truely stunning.
