by Arturo Flournay on Ok the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn look more classy than the original. it's all good. i enjoyed the new space. I met my friend at the bar in the back room and we enjoyed a classical concert directed by Bill Lee who happens to be Spike Lee's dad. the place has an even more intimate atmosphere. In the front room was a comedy show with Hannibal Buress. this place rocks. I heard he is also a writer for SNL. I agree with the other reviewers. the new space is nice but i miss the character of the old space. oh well. things change
by Odis Gear on they usually play house/dance music here. Some big name DJ have played here. Came here on a Wednesday (hip hop-top 40) night hosted by Synergy. I try my best to to seem normal (my friends and i killed 3/4 of a belvedere bottle :) and it was packed! Maybe cause it was the day before Thanksgiving. Good crowd that night. Temple decor is very nice with the Asian temple like statues. Esp this one near the outside smoking area of a bird. I want it! Upstairs- Big and white. Reminds me of a Roman bathroom. Marble from ceiling to floor. Long bar on the right side. Elevated VIP table service to the left. Downstairs- The cave... reminds me of the Splash Mountain ride at Disneyland. Stalactites and Stalagmites. Dark hot and short ceiling. I dont go downstairs much get too crowed and stuffy. Then they have the plush white house music room next to it. Small but they got couches in there which works out fine for me when you wanna rest for a bit. Drinks are okie but pricey. Fun place if you have a big group tho get there early as it usually gets crowded. You'll probably run in to the occasional D-Bag or two. **CAREFUL OF THE MARBLE FLOOR WHEN WET. YOU'LL FALL ON YOUR ASS!!!**
by Dick B. on I would have given The Box 5 Stars but they wouldn't let me in. Perhaps it's because I am fat and I came on a Friday night with my fellow buddies from UPS. Apparently our Brown Uniforms were not cool enough for them to let us in. From the Photos the place looks very cool but they had a snobby attitude at the door. We ended up going to Fort Lee NJ and had a great no attitude dinner and coctkails at the Fort Lee Diner.
