by Hang C. on SPEECHLESS yes...very different!!! They should have this kinda thingy in L.A. west Hollywood to be exact. I liked it, it's no different than other unique places, sometimes different can be fun. Food was great, but the entertainment was definitely why I would come back. The staff was very friendly, no haters here. Just everyone in their own little world, including mine. My date took me here and I was like "my gosh" he is very open to things like this??? I heard of breakfast in bed, but not dinner in bed?? It was a white setting and blue lights. All around was beds connected. Then we was greeted by cool looking staff, But they looked amazingly pretty...both guys and girls. Service was good, entertainment was great, the people...there was a bridal party going on and they welcomed me like I was one of them, lol...yeah, I had lots of fun. He danced with me a little bit. But he was relaxed and just enjoyed the moment..my date is a cool guy. Very open minded person, makes me more attracted to him as the night progress on... Leaving a trail of endless memories... This event wasn't left out, it wasn't forgotten either, just kinda busy to unfold past times, but back to my wonderful experience with my friend. He took me to this restaurant called "the Supper Club" Interesting as it sounds, the place was very ordinary just like a regular outside kinda building, but when I came inside the place was "AMAZING" it was like walking into the room a different world, it was like a fashion show slash dinner. Everything was white and with black lights. It was a feeling of relaxation and exciting thrills, you know...like kinda not expecting but wanting to know what's gonna happen next feeling?? But then as we were seated it was a bed setting. I mean like the whole white sheets and pillows thingy going on, it was different and it was interesting. But when we settled in and took our shoes off and call it home, the music and show began... They started to serve us a 4-5 course dinner, it was fabulous!! He couldn't picked out a better place to do this. The food was in reasonable portions, the music was AWESOME, the people are drunk and super friendly, yes it's a bit pricey, but hey live a little, live once and be happy...I can't believe that my date took me on this surprised adventure and show me what SF has to offer, I mean I know the night life is CRAZY, but nothing is comparable to this...this is a past memory I will never forget! And drinks were served like being in the club, but this wasn't your everyday dinner and show thingy. It was more interesting with the performers and dancers, it was my kinda thingy, I love places like this, I mean I fit into anything, any kind of crowd, I can handle, jk.lol. of course if you're the type that complains, then stay home..."YOU MOOD KILLER" lol,jk... All night we ate, enjoyed the crowd, and danced the night away!!! :) I also met and blended in with a "Party" a group of girls one's getting married and she's drunk and crazy too!! I guess whenever or before I get married, my party will rock a bit more on the "wild-side" lol, you know what I'm talking about ladies....picture this: I mean really picture this: Half-naked muscle, drop-dead gorgeous men, that will give me a lap-dance and strippers on the poles that will make you wish you didn't eat at Mc Donald's this afternoon...ahahhaha add vodka and wine and whipped-cream...oh my GODD, blame it on the goose!!!! cheers!!! :) I couldn't enjoy it with a anyone better, thank you anh David :) After that we took the taxi to a few clubs and lounges, later we went back and fourth, had him walk a little, goodness he didn't complain( a guy would have complained, but he's game)...what a guy, so I say let's call it a night 11:30, back to the hotel to relax and rest! This guy is a catch, I'd like d him even more....after that, we talked until the wee hours of the morning... I give this place a A+ and that's because of my date picked out this spot!!! I really enjoyed this place, I give it 5 stars, 3 for the great evening and 2 for David :) for taking me and showing me what sf is all about!! :)
by stuart f. on I'm probably a little biased because I'm such a fan of authentic Asian food. I've had better versions of many of the things on the menu on Buford Highway for a fraction of the price. Food was good, but not great. Appetizers were much better than entrees, which were kind of a disappointment. Desserts were surprisingly good, especially the Vietnamese coffee/chocolate tart and ice cream (which was superb). Service was slow, and a little disconnected. Not bad. Pleasant. Just not great. Also, wine prices are VERY STEEP compared to other area restaurants. Glad I tried it. But having been, I don't feel know that I would feel the need to return.
