by Steve R. on I might have given this place 4 stars if the burgers (burger, cheese and onions - a Philly Burger) was $495 and not $7.50 with no extras like fries., And all the burgers are $7.50 at least. The fries were good but not THAT good for $3.00. This place makes Johnny Rockets look cheap. And the order process is strange. You order and pay then go find your own seat and then a server brings you the food and expects a tip. The burgers come one way - medium. It was tasy but not filling and a wimpy roll. Hey, Five Guys does this but they don't charge $7.50. I noted a lot of U- Penn students there eating. Not sure how students can afford to frequent this place. Qdoba in down the street and Marathon Grill is a half-block away. Better burgers and fries at Marathon. I think this place is a fad.
by Kiarash Z. on I'm sorry, but hamburgers shouldn't cost $9.50. The sweet potato fries are delicious, but I felt guilty pigging out on greasy foods with all the chrome and blacklight illuminating the hipper-than-thou disco-type dining area. I prefer dining in places that look like diners. Anyway, I appreciate that Delux is open late. I appreciate the attention to ingredients. I just don't like the price and the late-90s "modern" look of the place. And the generic techno backbeats made me wish for a jukebox or my iPod.
