I don't even like Mexican food and I liked this place. The soup and salads were amazing, and the service was superb. The margarita that came in a pineapple was fun... interesting decor - not sure how Mexican it was, but it was cool! This is by far the best Mexican restaurant I have been to!!

I read the crap out of rateclubs reviews before heading to Carnival, so I had some trepidation based on the mixed reviews. But overall I ended up having a really good time with some of my best friends. First of all, climbing the stairs up to Carnival is really not that terrible. Just try to avoid wearing heels, or take them off or something. Second of all, get drunk before you show up. Drinks are expensive, and the alcoholic snow cones, which are $15, are not strong at all. I felt like I was just eating crushed ice, but still appreciated the novelty. Also, the cotton candy is great, and only $4 - and my friends and I got 2 for 1, for some reason (probably because the stand wasn't getting too much business at the time). Third of all, when I was there you could, in fact, dance in the Funhouse area. Maybe sometimes it's reserved for private parties, but not when we came. The crowd mostly consisted of men in their early 30s, who clearly came with their bros from the investment bank before they headed home to Murray Hill...or New Jersey. But they're fun anyway, especially with the DJ playing the likes of "Living on a Prayer" and "Good Girls Go Bad." Overall, show up to Carnival knowing you're going to have a cheesy, fun time. Bring a big group of friends, play the carnival games (you get tickets with your cover charge), and dance to old favorites. You may even take home a stuffed animal souvenir.
