We had a reservation for four at 8:45 on Saturday night, and when they called to confirm, I asked if we could change it to five people.  The response?  "We won't be able to seat you until 10:00."  Umm, no thanks... so we kept 8:45 and decided to just wing it. Well, we got there at 8:45 and there were plenty of tables open... so uhh, glad we didn't take the 10pm? Other than that, Ecco was fantastic.  Complimentary valet, interesting cocktail list, unique flavors, and great service.  Jones was our server, and he recommended what is now my favorite cocktail of all time... the Hot Kitty.  It was some combination of white wine, jalapeno-infused vodka, hot peppers and a splash of cranberry... I think?  It was so nice that I had it twice.  The Long Live the Queen cocktail was also a hit at our table. To start, we shared the fried goat cheese (popper perfection), panzanella (meh), and piquillo peppers with braised short rib (yum).  From there, three of us shared two pizzas- one with pork sugo, peppers, and mozzarella; one with squash, cheese, and oregano.  Each pizza had ~8 slices, so it was the perfect amount for three people.  Both pizzas were nothing short of amazing and a great contast to one another.  So good that you're left thinking, "What was on that that made it taste SO good?" I loved our experience at Ecco- I appreciate menus that are unique/creative/not straight-forward.  The creativity in the food at Ecco reminded me a lot of Woodfire Grill... it will leave you "oohing" and "ahhing."  This would be a great date spot, but it was pretty loud so save it for the second or third date!

Update: We had our Hot Summer Nights party here and I have to say that I found the management a bit hard to work with. The owner, Ben, was a really nice guy, but he's not necessarily managing things night to night... a lot of the negative reviews I see here on rateclub are about service and attitude, and it seems clear to me that this is something that has permeated from some of the managers. Would I go here again? I've heard the food is good, but overall I felt the bar staff didn't seem to enjoy being there and that reflected on our party in numerous ways. It's a gorgeous and large space, but I'd be careful about what night you choose to go on. ---- I went there for a networking event so spent most of my time in the upstairs lounge. It's a well-designed space with a nice mixture of bar, dancefloor and seating (for people-gazing). I've heard dinner is actually pretty good so roe, roe, roe yourself over.
