by Karine Andry on I'm from Arizona, so I know my Mexican food...and Nick's was great! The flour tortillas are outstanding and so fresh that I wanted to take a dozen home. My basis for all mexican restaurants is if the place can do a good machaca burrito then I'm hooked - and Nick's can! Filled to the brim with tastiness. And the guacamole was amazing too (isn't everything better with guacamole??)! The ambiance in Nick's is also great and seems authentic mexican restaurant - plastic tablecloths, folding chairs and all. However, since it's in Nob Hill, it is sophisticated (but not obnoxious). That includes beautiful sparkly chandeliers and a deep red color on the wall. The booths also looked very comfy. I will definitely return - especially for their happy hour. Nothing ends the day better then a Pacifico and a burrito!
