Love this place. Don't care what anyone says about it being a hipster haven, everyone at this place is damn friendly. A good place to strike up a random conversation or to meet people. Might be a gay bar, I dunno, seems more sexually ambiguous to me. Most of the bartenders treat you well as long as you treat them well, tip, and actually talk to them when it ain't crowded. Good drink specials, nice pool table and a huge patio out back. They sometimes try to charge you a cover but if you promise not to go into the music room, they'll let you in for free. Only problem is the very narrow area in front of the bar. People need to be reminded to move along. Never had a bad time here and is always a great place to meet people.

Just visited the new Lucky Strike Manhattan location last evening with my wife.  I'll keep this review as short as I can.  Environment - Bowlmor Lanes all over again, but more expensive and very very far from any sort of public transportation (luckily we drove).  Service - We decided to go on a Friday night after Thanksgiving, place was pretty empty.  There are two guys at the front of the venue for check in service, along with a bunch of desperate looking blondes geared to make the place look chic.  1 guy looks like Clay Aiken, the other like a white Snoop, but with a blonde afro.  Clay takes nearly 25 minutes to check in the party before us.  He can't figure out how to use the register.  Mind you, there's only one register at the front.  When he's finally done, he does check us in ($16 per person to bowl +6 per person for shoes), but you must tell him how many games you want to bowl, no rolling games.  Fine.  We go with 2 games, but decide we want more later.  Surprise, it's 11 o'clock, and Lucky Strikes has a new rule that we weren't made aware of by White Snoop.  There is a 2 game maximum and we can't play anymore - very disappointing and misleading,  however by this point, we've already spent $145 on two games of bowling, shoes, a couple of drinks and chicken fingers.  If you want to walk nearly a mile to get here, dress in your finest nightclub garb, wait for service when the place is empty, and pay half a car note for a couple of games of bowling, then Lucky Strike Manhattan is your place. Enjoy!!

My Second Experience in the infamous district of K-Town of Los Angeles, I was accompanied here by fellow rateclubser and new found friend Chris E., with the rest of our entourage, David, Yang, and Andrew. After my jaded episode in F-Bar (in actuality known as S-Bar), I decided to give K-Town another chance to redeem itself in terms of the nightlife offering. We came here about shortly after pre-partying in Andrew's Crib. So as we entered apparently one of the waiters is familiar with Andrew, goes by the name of Jay and he escorts us to one of the side rooms, with optimal booth seating. For some odd reason David, Chris, and I all agreed it smelled like ass. We needed to change spots, and thankfully Jay with his diligence came through to the rescue and after 25 minutes worth of smoke breaks and sipping on Red Bull we were finally out of that part of the club. We were finally situated into a Private Booth section of the place, much cleaner, with wider seating space. They also brought our bottles (as Chris already noted it was $220.00 a bottle of Grey Goose), we ordered all three for a total of $660.00 plus tax. Within the package of bottle service Jay, also brought out a fruit basket, and extra sides of Coke and/or Red Bull for the occasion. One thing I'm totally unfamiliar with until aforementioned was the idea of "booking." Apparently in Korean Bars, there's this thing with "hot girls" being approached by waiters to be "booked" to sit down and enjoy drinks/converse with random guys at the bar. While us guys have the option to shoo away, those non-favorable but within a short time span...any amount of shields over swords is fine by me. Some girls were decent, others were snooty and the precious vodka is being depleted. Going back on the setup of the club its really interesting considering majority of the place has booth seating, both in the center area, side areas, and private booths of course. On top of that, the DJ plays his music on the upper level, with the smoking areas being situated outside of the entrance of the club. The Dance Floor was completely crowded, if only they expanded it a little bit more it would have been fine. There are LCDs everywhere broadcasting off of the Victoria Secret Fashion Show of 2008, to emphasize "classy." as the center theme of this place. I spent my share of the tab about $160.00 dollars, overall. Jay did his best to make our experience memorable here, and I appreciated it 10 times more than S-Bar could ever measure up to.  And my K-Town excursion comes full circle to an end, considering I ended up too wasted to even lose track of my phone for the weekend.
