I've tried so many times to fall in love with this place. I mean, I love fried food, and I love seafood. However, the issue is, I prefer GOOD fried food, and GOOD seafood, so as you can imagine, Six Feet Under and I simply dont get along. Its dirty, its divey, and the food just sucks. No matter how many ways you turn it around the food literally sucks. But for some strange reason...this place stays packed. And just how I cant understand how Gladys Knights Chicken and Waffles will have a line outside of the door in the middle of the day (b/c there food sucks too!), I am baffled that this place is such a hot spot among locals. Its kinda like a bad dream that I have yet to wake up from....they just keep coming to this crappy place. Can someone explain?

The Good: Nice decor, and there was no cover charge the last 2 times I was there. The place probably brings more attractive young women than most other venues in SF. The crowd is neither ghetto nor over-the-top pretentious, and this can't be taken for granted on the weekends. The Bad: The music was terrible every time I went there - corny 80's and low energy hip hop that should not be played anymore. I know most people don't care about the music and they just want to be out with their friends and drink at a place like this, but it could have been so much better if the music was not as mainstream.

We all know the food is a bit overpriced. $100 for Kobe beef... Idk who's paying that, but even my dad (the steak man) was not havin it. We also know the staff at the front door is super unfriendly. To say the least. But where do I end up when I want to get dressed up for dinner and drinks with the girls and be surrounded by a great ambience, loud music and fun crowd without having to bump and grind with the next group of chicks? Tao. The chilean seabass is BANGIN, by the way. I'll give the front door posse the benefit of the doubt with their unfriendly attitudes on account of the fact that their wait is approx. 3 hours long at peak. That's chaotic!
