by Eve Ultseh on I wish there were a 3.5 on here. I'm usually not much of a fan of Jean Gorge restaurants, but this is a good spot in Atlanta. I had eaten at the Spice Market in NYC years ago, and frankly was more pleased with the one in Atlanta...at least as far as food goes. The decor and atmosphere were what you would expect out of a fusion between W Hotels & JG. The food was well prepared, well delivered, and a general success, but nothing to rave about. The crowd was relatively lively, although I wished for a little more. I'm only giving this 3 stars, as I don't think i could justify giving it 4. There was nothing in particular that stood out, or was worth raving about. It's simply a good spot, in a good hotel, for a good meal. Nothing more, nothing less.
by susan s. on used to be a great , one-of-a-kind place. now it's been overrun by the B&T crowd, screaming kids, the usual losers. 45-minute line for food or drinks. don't remember anyone puking on tables-- until now. really sorry to see it go. now it's a college bar, on the water. if you could see it anymore for the mob...
by Elke Bahner on ALRIGHT LISTEN!!!! From NYC, came to Miami with hopes of having the same amount of fun that we have every night in New York only with tans and bikinis. NOT TRUE!!!!! Mansion NYC is very exclusive, full of attractive people, and VERY fun. Again, we thought it would be the same in Miami... NOT TRUE Mansion Miami is GROSS. We walked up to the club and the outside was just a huge mob of people there was no order to the line just a large group of people (mostly men, very unattractive men) crowding the entire sidewalk. The doormen let EVERYONE in, there was no standard to the people coming inside. This sounds incredibly snobby but when you go to certain places you expect a certain standard. There was no standard at all. We felt like we were at a really crappy college town club. There were girls wearing jerseys and timberland boots and guys wearing a&e polo shirts inside. This is not the type of dress that would be allowed at Mansion NYC. We had a terrible time. The music was AWFUL, the DJ was completely off (sorry, EVERY DJ since there were about 30 rooms in this place) The club was dirty, it was carpeted and the carpets were nasty old and smelly. It was too big, too tacky, too full of ugly dweebs. All and all a terrible night - I would not recommend Mansion to anyone looking for a good time in Miami, unless your idea of a good night is a college bar scene.
