I was treated horribly kicked out by 2 bouncers. For tripping over a step at the front entrence. I just finished shopping and bought high heels from the coach store and went with my sister and brother for a drink at scurples i went to the washroom and 2 big men grabbed me and said we dont allow two stepping !!!!! Well i was scared and embaressed so sad this place is a joke. They took my money poor club nothing else to do !!!!!

Bowlmor is an unbelievable, mind blowing ripoff.  The place is cool, the staff is nice and the bowling is fun but guess what?  It doesn't matter!  It is so ridiculously overpriced you just feel like you're being bent over and reamed every second you're here. $68 an hour per lane (hey can you throw in a lap dance?), $6.50 shoe rental and $10 for a beer.  Dropped over a hundred dollars on a date here in a mere hour. In summation,  Bowlmor WOULD be cool if it were 80% cheaper.  Until then, head to Brooklyn if you must bowl in this city.

Ah, how I want to love you, Velvet Margarita. Your decor is A for awesome, but your food just gets an A for average. Sad, but true.

My first visit since name and owner change, NICE JOB! Very good looking staff, went out of their way to keep my friends smiling. Drink specials are great as well!! Only suggestion i have is to make the place BRIGHTER!! Great fun at The Playbar, will always be sure to stop here when we visit!!

I have come here twice in the past month. What can I say? I'm not down the shore nor at the Hamptons and it's a decent place to chill until my real vacay begins next week. One night the crew and I went and we were hanging out with the Sixers. We didn't pay cover and the drink prices were righhtttt. Then a few weeks later we decided to do a night away and make it one of our stops during the night. The bartenders were AWESOME to us (read: I was feeling rather nniiiiccceeee). The bouncers and other staff are always nice. The UFC fighters and some NFL players were there as well. I wasn't star struck but they were all friendly to us when I expected d-bag attitudes from all of them especially when most of the girls were flinging themselves at them. A bonus is that I play a good wingwoman and who could turn down someone who is willing to play matchmaker and separate the trash from the treasures? And believe me some of those girls look like a scene from Pimps Up Hoes Down. Classy! I like going to G Lounge because the risk of me getting shot/cut with a box cutter/caught in a scuffle/or all of the above is minimal. The music is good...could be better but this is from someone that did the NY 90s club scene (damn, I'm dating myself and sound like a fossil)--Tunnel, Sound Factory, Expo, Carbon, etc. Those WERE clubs but G Lounge is just trying to be a chill place to have fun and make the most of it. Nothing more, nothing less.

SCRUPLES on Kuhio: After the latest public fiasco with the prior owner(s), we thought this place would change somewhat for the better. Uh no....kept the theme but unfortunately lets in the 18 to the not quite 21 yr old crowd as well. So what you have is a mix of clientel that spells out trouble. Worse they take up precious room on the dance floor. We observed that most of the older patrons began a slow exodus....I mean with these 80's wanna-be's doing their best imitations of ol'skool "Beat Street" you know, the spinning-on-your-head-all-limbs-twirling thang you can't help but gulp down the last portion of your drink and head for a better venue. We actually inquired of the DJ if he spins any ol'skool music and yup....I had that same you-must-have-venereal-disease look bestowed upon me. Sighhhhhh....off we went.... My vision; Yo', drop the dual age thing and go live all the waaaay live and bring some class to the joint. Make up your guys mind...is it a dance club or a high school dance? Shoot I'd bring the house down with local, amatuer talent night and hard core R&B from the 80's on up
