by Aliya C. on Haven't been here for the nightclub portion but the music performance portion. AWESOME venue to see any live band performance. the inside decor of the theatre is beautiful as well. Make sure you take the time to look up at the ceiling and stuff. I saw John Digweed play a sold-out Wednesday night show (only someone like him could sell out a venue like that on an LA weeknight) and oh-my-lord was it amazing. The lighting and sound system was insane. Not to mention how many levels there were to the place and how many dance floors you would just wander upon. Well thinking in retrospect, it IS a huge salsa nightclub...duh... Well anyways, I also saw The Deadweather (Jack White's latest band) play there and again another mindblowing experience. They only used half of the nightclub for this stage setup. Just the right amount of people for the venue and sound was great. I was front row standing though, so I'm not sure about the upper or back section by the bar.

If you look below, the five-star reviews are all back-to-back, sound fake and are the only review from each "person" who wrote them. They're not even good about pretending to be objective customers. Don't believe the hype!! If you like your clubs sweaty, stinky, sleazy, expensive, dirty, dangerous, violent and vane; this is the place for you. If you like respect, not being groped, oxygen and spending your money on things that are of equal value to the hard work you put in to earn it; you have no reason to ever go here.
