THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. Morimoto- you are the man. The decor is definitely relaxing and the service is excellent. If you go, just splurge and do the Omakase. It is worth every penny (especially if you go for lunch). Morimoto must make the best toro tuna tartar I've ever had. I drool just thinking about it. It's savory, fresh, and has crunch (shallots?) throughout to change up the texture a little bit. It is amazing. Our toro tartar was followed by a delicious yellow fin (?) carpaccio. Also delicious. Everythign down to the goat cheese blackberry cheesecake was great (though the others at my table seemed to enjoy the latter less than the rest of the dishes). Like I said, if you go, the Omakase is the way to go.

I would like to petition for Loca Luna's name to be changed to Best Darn Salsa Dancing in Atlanta Times a Million Restaurant and Dance Floor. I mean, I know the name would be a tiny bit longer, less catchy, harder to remember, and would in itself take up enough characters for two text messages..so maybe BDSDATMRDF for short just for texting purposes, but that's besides the point. The point is, I don't know or care about the food, I didn't try any of their fun looking drinks (although I can tell you they don't water their liquor because woooweee did that double whiskey hit me embarrassingly hard), and I cannot say I was there for a birthday party like so many of you other rateclubsers were. What I can say is that the live salsa band was fantastic and really got you moving, the crowd was nice (not shady whatsoever), the parking was safe and convenient (although unless you know how to parallel, plan on bringing cash for the valet), the bathrooms were clean and the soap didn't smell like industrial crap, and finally the dance floor was actually danceable (as in there weren't drinks spilt everywhere just waiting for someone to break their neck, the floor itself wasn't composed of odd textures inhibiting your feet from moving, it wasn't the size of a tiny cubical, and people there could actually dance)! I plan on returning every chance I get! I had an amazing time, and I have been gushing about my experience all morning. This place really seems like it would be good for any type of person-if you eat, you'll like it. If you drink-you'll like it. If you dance-you'll LOVE it. If you enjoy live music-head on over!! Also, single ladies that just wanna dance-go! Go alone even. I did, and I had an amazing rape-free evening that will go down in the history books as one of my favorite salsa experiences of all time (and I've had a lot). There are plenty of single men, the dancers range from n00bs to ballers, and it is a safe environment for sure! Although, if you get molested or pick up a stalker or two-don't come yelling at me. Be safe, have fun, and as lady gaga might say, "JUST DANCE"! Best. Night. Ever.

Free cover? Heck yes!! Class place for free?? HECKER YESS!! Cheap drinks?? not so heck yes....... Stuffy dance underground floor?? OF COURSE!!!! Line outside of club? yess since it is freee. i came here around 11:30 and the line was pretty long.. but you eventually get in!! It is in the financial district where young professionals hang out with their champagne of choice in their hands.. But it is a nice environment though. The decor is very chic and dark lighting upstairs though. Pretty spacy, you can go in the back also.. There's couches all over, some might be reserved tables of course. Champagne bottles of all sizes are decorated around the venue. The bar upstairs is a bit small, so you will be going to play the "let me in" game.. I got 5 champagne glass wines and it totalled to around $50.. not cheap you guys...just make sure you pre-party somewhere else if you want to have a good buzzed the cheap way.. that is my advice to you. Downstairs is where more of the wilder people hang around.. where the music is bumpin and grindin'... It's like a cave themed decoration.. very small dance floors since there is not windows or anything... it gets very stuffed up and makes you want to go upstairs.. I've had alot of fun here everytime i've been here.. but the music can be on and off.. they always play the weirdest mixes at times and kills the song that you are about to get into when dancing!! so that's a bummer.. there's a bar in the back also to your right. Bathrooms have about 3 stalls for girls.. and of course you can expect a line for it!
