by Vivian W. on Not gonna lie, the whale sharks are pretty awesome, and as always, love the beluga whales. Did the quick dip tour today - meh for the price, but nice if you've got out of town friends you're showing around town. This is def one of the nicer aquariums I've been to.

Starting at the hype they create around reservations that "we are ohh so overbooked" and people are lining up to eat here to the "uncooked" pasta and a ridiculously overpriced menu. I mean yea, its fine dining on an noncommissioned floating boat and with titanic interiors and ambiance but a $35 uncooked pasta makes it not so worth it. There are other better fine dining experiences I have had for a bit cheaper. Good for one time maybe to know what the hype is about but naaa for the second time around.
by Renaldo Koenitzer on Went to One Midtown Kitchen for a friends birthday today. It's been about 2 years, since the last time I have been here and all I can say is that nothing really has changed. The food was ok and service could have been better. I was surprised that the staff didn't do anything special or say happy birthday to my friend, especially since the reservations were clearly under "Birthday Party for Thomas." It's too bad...since it was his first and probably last time he will ever go there. The only ups I could give were the drinks. The drink names were fun and original and the presentation was nice when it arrived to the table. Of course I got excited over the One American Idol! Not only is it my usual drink when I go out (Red Bull and Vodka), but it reminded me of my audition this past August when they came to Atlanta! [You'll have to tune in this season to see how far I got into the competition. :) ] Anyways, it will probably be another 2 years until I come back here again.
