by Melissa N. on I'm probably going to be a little biased since I still have a buzz going from their $5 bottomless mimosas!!! I tried their brunch and had the Salvatex which was delicious! The services was prompt and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I usually gauge how good a Mexican food restaurant is by their chips and salsa and Gloria's did not disappoint! The chips had the perfect salt, crunch and warmth to go with a very tasty red salsa. The best part was the black bean dip that came along with the chips and salsa. You can almost not feel too guilty about having one after another. We will definitely be taking guests here for brunch!!
by Ali R. on It was Friday and my floozy friend convinced me to head happy hour with her and her friends. And by convinced me, I mean that she texted me saying, "Come to Vessel!" and I did. Happy hour from 5pm-9pm is a great deal! A shot of either Tequila or Fernet and a Budlight. Seeing as I was wearing my granny panties that night under my dress I opted for Fernet. Let's just say that Tequila makes my clothes fall off and no one wants to see these granties. For $20 I was quite tipsy by the time we stumbled out and off to find food. Which is an automatic 3 stars for me! Holla! I was approached within 5 minutes by 2 different men telling me I was beautiful, but not offering to buy me drinks. One left right away and the other awkwardly lingered near our group trying to get my attention. Luckily Anna K. (the floozy who convinced me to come out) brought along a gaggle of men I could use as faux boyfriend props to get this weirdo to stop staring at me. Even though the ones hitting on me weren't all that, there was plenty of eye candy in the place. One drawback of the place is that the bathrooms are coed and open. The stall is the only place you can get some privacy. I had to adjust the granties but couldn't because there were so many men in the bathroom. Also, the simplest way to get away from a guy, by heading to the bathroom then ditching them, won't work here. While I quite enjoyed the happy hour here and will probably be back soon, I will have to be in the clubbin mood to come here at night.
