by Donnie Chasin on Ordered the $120 omekase and was asked if there was anything special I wanted included, and I asked for some of the Australian wagyu that was on special to be worked in. Waitress countered with $150 to include wagyu and made a successful sale. The highlight of the meal came when we were brought empty plates, and we joked that perhaps it was a particularly avant garde course, and that we were only going to get plates. The waitress then took the plates away. We'd called it. (though it was just a service error) Overall, it was a fun and pretty good meal but it wasn't quite as good as I was hoping for, or as I've had at a few other well-known sushi joints.
by Lai Tamimi on My favorite place to get some food in Midtown!! My favorite meal is 2 slaw dogs and some onion rings! My family has been going to The Varsity for as long as I can remember, so it may hold some nostalgia for me, and that's why I love it so much, but it's great food and they are always speedy, even if there are hundreds of people. I can't speak to their burgers or chicken, because I always get hot dogs!
by Karl H. on I've only been here for drinks...and I'm always left wondering why the place is so empty..?? Each of the 3 times I've been, there was a DJ, a bunch of servers, and like 2 other people besides my buds and I -- what's up downtown ATL??!! Support your local bars before we lose them!
