The Viper Room’s recognition and fame color this nightspot. Once owned by actor Johnny Depp, it has a status for attracting celebrities and for being the site of actor River Phoenix's death in 1993. The Viper Room has survived many scandals including Tommy Lee, Pamela Anderson, Nicole Eggert, Mick Jagger and Uma Thurman just to name a few. The Viper Room was known as the black hole until 1999 when it under went a transformation and now features live music every night, light shows with Art Deco interior design.
