The converted space is dimly lit throughout and features a somewhat grandiose central staircase, tastefully appointed furnishings and abundant comfortable seating. Mechanical relics and artifacts are peppered throughout the venue, a reminder that this was once a fully functional Edison power substation. Don't forget to ask about their food service menu; you'll be surprised by what they offer.
by Tobie Yanda on I love this place. Even when its crowded, it really doesn't take that long to get seated. Yes, the burgers are small but the ingredients are fresh and absolutely delicious. I've been to Flip a dozen times probably and always come away completely satisfied. The menu does change which is good and bad b/c I don't like to see my favorite burgers go away. The rBQ rocks, The Butcher's Cut is probably my all time favorite burger, The Southern is awesome and different. The Farm is also incredible. I would like to see and expansion in their side items and that is about the only complaint I have. The milkshakes are very uncommon and delightful. The Spicy Chocolate Mole is very good. Flip is definitely worth a visit. ...And oh yeah, the people who say they could have gone to Outback for surf and turf should probably not be going here anyway.
by One P. on If U pay ur GAY. Hmmmm Once a week, $10 cover at 11pm should havce been plenty clues. Well, this SF gay man decided to check out the Bean town scene. NOT. Pathetic when people pay straight promoters to get into a club where you'll be "accepted." When I entered past 11 pm, pd the $10 cover, most peeps inside were bi friendly,or questioning. Hmm, is this what Bostonians put up with. SF on the othe hand on a Sunday, many FREE places for same sex loving people. NY similarly. Boston is a 3rd tier C T.
