Nice box space with tremendous chandelier and good music. All bad dancers welcome to let loose :) Was gonna give it 4 stars cause my first time was a good time but i have a feeling that i just caught it under good circumstances and on other nights its probably just A-ok, time will tell. Was supposed to stop in here long ago. Finally went Tuesday to support a promoter friend. No hassel at the door besides the rope guy asking me to take off my sunglasses "cause its nighttime." Ok. As we enter, the music was right, the crowd was dancing on top of the couch surface things like they dont care whos watching, the gang of chandeliers in the center of the room was blinging, and the tone was just set for a good time. Promoter had a bottle at the table but before finding him we had stopped at the bar. My friend had his usual stiff mint infused drink from the cocktail menu that there seem to be renditions of everywhere we go, that was good. My cosmo was just decent and came in those small "vintage" champagne glasses like some of the cocktails at pegu. Not my fave, i like my stemware to be a classic martini glass or a wine glass, but whatevs. Those 2 drinks came up to 40 bux including a "servers charge" according to my friend. Drinks were definitely not worth it as usual but no surprise as that is to be expected in the neighborhood. Crowd was not exactly typical pretentious mpd tho, was more mixed and just young downtowners coming out to have a good time but knowing that this is just the standard not necessarily the tops, no one taking it too seriously. Lots of careless dancing or sitting along the couch top things and bopping along. Was great cause it was not crowded, which i like, enough space to dance and enjoy yourself. Couple of people making out intensely. Lots of hip hop and dance. Dj was pretty good, spun some SICK mixes, like all about benjamins on rub ya tits if ya love hip hop beat, amoungst many other great mash ups. I noticed there was a lot of security along the side tho, dont know if thats good or bad. Over all great place to come with a group of friends who know how to party, dont necesarilly come to meet people tho and def pregame unless youre going to buy a bottle. Would consider this for a nice personal bday party.

Two words--Strawberry Mojitos (by the pitcher). Ok more than two, but they are FANTASTIC! I've been here a few times for dinner and brunch. Food is good, and the atmosphere is a little more party than quiet (that's uptown for ya!) Live music, large portions, and solid food makes this restaurant a great addition to the neighborhood. I remember when they first opened up, and they're getting better with time.

They have named a new area of the city...i think its geared at the mighty.  Its called the SOMISSPO (Soma, Mission, Potrero) They support the local music scene by getting local DJ's and bands to play there on a pretty regular basis.  I went to the SF Station anniversary party for 3 reasons.  I like the Mighty, it was free to get in, and BLVD  was playing.  They didnt go on till 1 on a Wednesday, which made it a pretty long evening, but ive seen them there before and they are worth the wait. Mighty always has the other smaller second room in case you dont like whats on the main stage. Our friends music collective is continuously getting gigs there which makes it nice to know the people on the stage. They randomly have rollerskating thursdays throughout the year which is pretty funny, cuz the "rink" is pretty small.  Your legs start cramping up because of the constant turning, but its fun nonetheless. Ill be spending more than a few more evenings here im sure.
