I can't believe that after 21 years of living in Atlanta and enjoying the nighttime scene last weekend was the first time I've visited the Clermont. Yes as a lifelong adult in the city of Atlanta I've heard the stories, rumors, and snickers. Still I never went there even on hardcore nights out at the cove and the sports page. I can't believe what I was missing. This place is a dive with a capital D! Still there was something endearing about the dingy ripped wallpaper on the walls and the unique dancers who work there. This place is REAL people. The sign on the back says opened in 1965 and I bet the decor hasn't changed since then. I found the dancers quite nice, especially porsche, the other patrons were very friendly, the music was ok but mostly all oldies. Anyway my friends and I all came home with some sort of cold or cough and even one of my friends got pink eye. I'm not saying it was from the clermont but who knows. Even if it was the reason I would go back in a hearbeat! Totally cool, one of a kind, and sleazy cheezy!! Hurry soon if you want to experience the clermont I bet once that building sells it'll get shut down! I think I'm going to try the Tuesday night karaoke sometime!

I dont know why this place is crowded but i guess theres a sucker born every minute and every year , so new suckers replace the suckers that don't go back Actually, it was a good atmosphere: different rooms... there was a majician, good music. But the lame part: at 4am they started to close up..  WTF this is a new york city NIghtclub, let it go till 6am.. but NO 4am everyone out Way to fucking overpriced liquor :corona , I mean $9.  Unless you've won the lottery avoid this place a second time.  ONe time is an ok experience.  I don't mind paying there huge $30 cover but keep the drinks reasonable Arrogant Owners that think people will come back and pay $9 for a corona plus tip!  Had it been REASONABLE like $5-6 and $8 for absolut I would have.

Okay we all know this is a young 'un place, etc. But I've had a ton of fun here at parties thrown by my friends who are promoters...i've even thrown some myself. And I have special thoughts about this place because I met my husband here ;-) I don't know if the joint has changed, but there's a stage, a bar that takes forever to get drinks, a nice dance floor and some tables in a separate area including a pool table. Bathrooms were kinda shady when I was there last as far as going upstairs to use a restroom. Parking can be weird.
