by Michael S. on You better bring hot chicks on both of your arms or your not going to have an easy time getting into this place. This place seems very LA to me, with its uber-standards. I did get pissed off at the staff for flashing a blue LED at me for dancing with 4 of my girlfriends on the table. We had actually paid the 500 - 1000 bucks for bottle service. The blue LED man said that I didn't have enough girls on the table to be on the table with them. Dude 4:1 come on. Minus one star. Other than that Vessel please paint your ceiling/walls a different color by two little stairs don't leave it all black. I took a good fall when I banged my head being stupid and fell on the stairs as a result. 3 weeks later I'm okay :P. Bathroom report: Seemed nice to me for a club bathroom, I was quite drunk and and in pain so I could be wrong.
by Irma Longhurst on What I like about Club Dragon is the fact that they play hiphop! With the absence of a gay hiphop scene in the City, Club Dragon is an oasis in the desert that is over-played-bad-pop-music-remixes. What's cooler is that if you get tired of hipping to the hop, head on down to the first floor for some electrotechno beats. As its name would imply, Club Dragon caters to the gay Asian clientele, i.e. Asian bois and their admirers, which, depending upon your preference or your type, can either be too much of a good thing or too much of a bad thing. Personally, I like communing with my API community over some music and Grey Goose. That and the bois, for the most part, are my height and I don't feel like being trampled by the taller ones of the Castro. Dragon also has its share of go go bois and dancers, if that's your thing, and also a smoking alley, again if that's your thing. The cover is $5 but is free before 10, but who really goes out at or before 10? As for the drinks at the bar, I've definitely found that the strength of your particular spirit of choice differs from tender to tender. I once had a Grey Goose Cape Cod that was (I kid you not) 90% vodka, 5% ice, and 5% cranberry juice. Now, I'm not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing...I actually don't remember what happened that night...hmmm Overall, if you're cute, young, of general "Asian" height (you know what I mean), like hiphop and or house, and like Asian bois then it's definitely time to slay the Dragon. (Ok, so I guess you don't have to be any of those things. I think it just makes for a funner crowd for me hehe.)
