Love the modern rooms.  Best location for spending the weekend in Hollywood!  Go see a great concert at the Dome and literally stroll back home after.  Along the way grab an LA favorite hot dog with bacon in front of the Man's Chinese theater.  if you're lucky, Spiderman even might take a pic with you. Summer is best.  Rooftop pool provide the sexiest place to sip drinks and enjoy the LA sun.

I was a regular at 3rd Fl for 6 years. I was pro-3rd Fl for a LONG TIME, until I started going to other K-town bars and realizing what real service was. Before I mention all the negatives about this place, there are some pros. People don't come here for prices or bargains for the most part. People come here to mingle, party, etc., and there are a few good cookies that come here. Tuesday's beer and food happy hour special is popular too, and the food is pretty good (I am a huge fan of the bulgogi doria). However, despite the fun customers that come here, the service and bargains are usually just terrible. The place is busiest during its Thursday Happy Hour, which in all reality is not a happy hour because the specials are either too short or just plain garbage. Girls only get free drinks from 8pm-9pm and you'll occasionally get a buy 1 get 1 free drink special (but the price of one is pretty much the price of two at any other bar).  If you're a girl looking to cash in on the free drink special, go early, because the bartender service here is the slowest I've ever experienced at any K-town bar. I once waited 20 minutes for a drink during happy hour, and they tried to charge me the regular price because I was 1 minute over the happy hour. Give me a break! Any other bartender would just give it to me! I've  never gotten a comp drink from a bartender here unless it was requested by one of the happy hour promoters, which is really sad. You figure if you've been coming to a place long enough and dropping a ridiculous $14/cocktail plus tip, the bartender would hook you up with one comp drink along the way. No. None. Also, the renovated look actually does more harm than good. before there was a lot of open room for people to hang near the bar and people can easily go back and forth from their table. Ever since they installed those (prison) bars between the bar and the tables, you feel a lot more crowded into whatever side your own (near bar or near table). It's harder to get around now too. The worst experience? A few friends of mine claimed a small table (seats 4) to have our drinks and we were sitting there for a good 2 hours. The waitress comes along and asks us to get up from our table so she can give it to another customer. The act itself was ridiculous and rude, and I was not afraid to mention it. She then said she would give us a table when one freed up and once one freed up, she asked us to get a bottle so we could sit there. After basically stealing a table from us which we rightfully claimed, this bitch had the nerve to ask us to buy a $200 bottle so we could sit down again. This kind of service is despicable and what's more sad is this chick has been working there for over 3 years! What waitressing school did she attend?! So basic rundown: Pros: -fun crowd -good food -decent Tuesday happy hour special and dinner specials ($10 for 1 drink and entree) Cons: -slow bartending service -EXPENSIVE ($14 for a vodka tonic? get out of here) -poor and slow waitering service -poor architectural layout

Cielo is the saving grace of House music.  I can't explain how important it is for this spot to exist.  Was just there on Monday for Deep Space.  FK, thank you...  NYC, thank you too... Big up...
