by Kim N. on This event is pretty awesome! The crowd is super chill, and the environment is relaxing and fun. This was our firs time checking out this event, and we came a little bit late so the planetarium and the rainforest was already closed :( but we will definitely check out these two areas next time. The people checking in were really friendly, and easy going. The drinks were a little bit water down-maybe for good reason! The price of the drinks are comparable to that of any other night out places. There were so many bars around the museum to accommodate the space that there was no waiting in line or the need to look for place to get a drinks. They also have non-alcoholic drinks as well. This would be a great place for a sweet date. There are space to sit, and plenty of displays to interactive with. The crowd ranged from early 20s to 40s-the majority were in the mid 20s when we went last night. It is definitely worth checking out!!
by Terry Illar on Caught my first show here last night (Alice Smith - WOW!). A few logistics - tix were $10 advance/12 door; no problem with street parking; get there early and line up for the front room (after you get a drink) - unless you're already in the front room eating dinner (want to try this next time). Very limited seating but there were also about 8 barstools up for grabs; rest was standing-room only (set-up might depend on the show). I thought the sound was really good - the artist I saw was all about vocals and I heard everything perfectly and clearly (almost too loud at times). I'm excited to go back - very cool, intimate venue.
