I always have fun at Blue Martini and meet tons of people to chat with and the service in general is great, too. The bartenders are very nice and attentive and I've never had to wait long for a drink. Even though it can get crowded, I've yet to wait in a line for the bathroom, either. Speaking of which... I really wish they'd do away with the concept of bathroom attendants. I think I'm old enough to know how to wash and dry my own hands. Also, I don't carry cash so it's awkward feeling like a cheapskate when you're anything but and you can't tip the lady. This was so aptly pointed out by a snotty, awkwardly tall, raven haired patron powdering her nose in front of the mirror. If I didn't know any better I would have mistaken her for someone who'd just had a sex change or a corpse that had just been reanimated because she had the waxiest face ever. After apologizing to the attendant for not being able to tip, the wax faced tranny rolled her eyes and said, "What? You don't have any AMERICAN DOLLARS?" I felt she was implying I was an illegal since I am of mixed heritage and am often mistaken for a variety of races. I'm not sure why white people feel they have to go there. Isn't being white enough? Not that it was any of her business, but I explained that I don't carry cash. I also admonished her for rolling her eyes (I was too buzzed to dish out a proper tongue lashing) but she was too busy staring at herself in the mirror to care. "This is Scottsdale, honey," she shot back, still powdering her face. No, this is PHOENIX, Einstein. Blue Martini is in Phoenix, not Scottsdale. Not everyone carries cash to pay by the hour. But it's one of those things you don't think to say until AFTER the fact. Another typical brainless and uneducated Scottsdale fem bot who is obviously geographically challenged. Hopefully, she'll succumb to makeup poisoning and stay IN the grave.

NYE event was a fraud!! The flyers said pre purchase ticket holder had front of the line service, yet we were in line for 1 1/2 hours as people buying theyre tickets at the door were the ones with front of the line priveleges.!! The flyer also said there would be a balloon money drop, there certaintly was balloons but with no money . The flyer said there was complimentry Hors D'oeuvres throughout the nite, nope, no food at all. Oya. What about the 3 raffle trip giveaways to Vegas, Miami and Hollywood - which were to include a flight, bottle service and VIP service?? This is what caught my eye when looking at NYE possibilities in SF... Nobody won a trip at all. There was no countdown downstairs whatsoever and nearly everyone missed the midnite celebration!! I did!! And if you wanted the complimentry champagne toast, you had to get it yourself, but once again, how would anyone even know it was midnite if the DJ's DONT tell us while we were dancing?  What was with the Paparazzi theme on the flyers as well...There was no sort of photographers there at all!!!!!!!!    And lastly the "Grand Unveiling of Suite one8one's Sexy Remodel" - -such a joke!  this is the exact same club as ever before and nothing was new at all... The only thing suite one 8 one lived up too from there advertisements was the open bar, which was completely chaotic!!! What this club did on NYE was false advertisment and a bait-and-switch technique to get people in the doors. You will be hearing more from me and I wish I went somewhere else, perhaps Ruby Skye or 1015 Folsom

Despite his wildly overrated reviews, I have to say that FLIP was pretty darn good.  We were seated quickly, had great and attentive service, and enjoyed several items (most to our liking). I thought the poboyger was the best, especially with the fried lemon on top.  My husband found the cod to be his favorite.  We also tried the pork belly cheeseburger, which was to our liking (but I would have liked the pork belly to be a little more crisp).  My favorite side was the fried rutabega, which remained nice and crunchy and went very well with the goat cheese foam. The burnt marshmallow shake was amazing.  The Krispy Kreme one was a disappointment - a bit too sweet without much texture.
