by Trav. M. on I thought LA was pertentrious. Oh boy! Came here last night with my friend Sean who is a regular client here. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a door policy...I didn't know this happened in NY, but it does, appparently. We got in no problem and met up with some friends who were already there after work. This place is pretty nice. I'm a big fan of the owner's other venues and I was excited to check this one out with it being so close to my hotel and all. The crowd was a little older than my liking, but I saw gorgeous 20-somethings sprawled on a couch every here and there, so at least there was SOME diversity. I feel it's safe to assume that this is a local spot that attracts after-work big shots. Drinks were VERY expensive. I paid $20 for a Vodka Martini. That is THE most I have ever paid for a drink. Alas, I bought it...and bought a couple more to follow. I had a great time. As the three says, it was "a-ok"
by Charlotte Horenstein on We spent a New Year's party here and I must say it was very nice. The decor, the DJs, the vibe - everything was on the level. The crowds looked unpretencious, more of bohemian type. The Vault downstairs was fanstastic. Former bank vaults, it has a very intimate feel with room for everybody (see pic). The bathrooms are unisex (unless I misunderstood something) and very cool. The only downer was drink prices - $14 for a cosmo is kind of insane.
