by Heather H. on wasn't that impressed. i live down the street so we decided to check this place out one night. there was supposed to be a band...they even had the info on the projection screen straight from rateclubs. but, like another reviewer said, no band & no explanation. the beer selection was way too specialized. only imports? that's not going to appeal to most people in this neighborhood. get some light domestics and make us lesser folk happy. when i heard their alcohol selection, i literally said to my friend, "Well, at least i know never to come back here again." i finally figured out a drink i could conjure from their menu, and it was made with the worst vodka ever! not even Smirnoff quality. i asked for more mixer & got it, so it was a littler better. my friend went down & ordered us a second round...when mine came, it was NOT the drink i had previously. all of a sudden there was cranberry juice in it. i mean, the drink was pinkish-red, but there was never any cranberry mentioned! so bizarre. another friend went to get me a 3rd drink, and this time it was right again. so, not a very consistent experience. not sure if i'll ever return. maybe if i don't feel like walking more than 50 feet.
by Jorge Levinthal on We were luckily "on the list", so we did not have to wait in any line to get in. I really feel that I am too old to be waiting in lines to buy alcohol anyway. Overall I felt that this place was pretty much another LA bar. It was pleasant outside. The music was unimpressive and dated. Of course like most any LA club there was plenty of eye candy. There were also two stilt walkers that to entertain people. It was fun to watch for about 30 seconds or so. The staff were suprisingly quite pleasant and helpful though. The best part to me was the outside patio area to get away from the noise when you want to. There are also a number of other semi-quiet areas to go chit chat with friends or someone special or hot or whatever. I surely would visit this club again with friends, if I am back on a list, but I would not want to wait in line. Overall from what I saw, there is nothing all that new here.
