by alfred y. on If you're a San Franciscan, then you've probably been to a good number of clubs; and the venue at Atmosphere has probably been part of your journeys at some part of your clubbing career. I like the layout with some of the tables. It's akin to being just far enough from the crowd, instead of being blasted by flying drinks. Though, with any club here: you can't dance when there isn't enough room to avoid touching someone's butt, and wading through the crowd to find a spot is futile. Even though the dance floor is pretty big, you're not likely to avoid a drink down your back. I've never had a stellar experience here, but I've never had a bad one either.
by Joanna L. on Asians Asians EVERYWHERE!!!! I ended up at "The Park" around 3am... ladies free (yay), guys $10 (well, whatever). Walking inside was NOT what I had expected. It was HUUUGEE!! The space was really nice and I completely loved the decor. The first floor was lounge-y and the second floor was the actual dance area. Needless to say, we went upstairs and started off with a round of shots before heading to the dance floor. The music was good and mostly hip-hop. Plus it was ASIANS ASIANS EVERYWHEREEE!!! I guess EVERY night at The Park is Asian night. Overall, a great experience, good strong shot and I'll probably go back eventually. :)
by Cassie Bozwell on Spending time at 111 Minna during Friday happy hour is like hanging out in the living room of an eco-friendly model home: four walls joined together at right angles with a bar abutted against one of them and some pieces of furniture meant to resemble logs scattered here and there. One can say the same for the placement of people. In other words, there's not much going on--be it offensive or interesting.
