by Mike L. on Bruno's serves food? Haha...I had no idea, but I guess it makes sense since it looks just like Harry's on Fillmore (even has the same type of mirror board behind the bar)...minus the nightclub type of scene. Drinks are a little expensive in general, but I guess about evenly priced for most other bars in the Mission. Most mixed drinks and their house cocktails seem to average around $10 or so, and they are decently made by friendly bartenders. They have a separate room from the bar for the dance floor, but they have music being played in both. There's a large central table by the bar, along with some wall seating/tables, so there is plenty of seating, though I don't really know if there are true tables to reserve for events. Strike against them though for the fact that they charge a cover on most given nights and they seem to enforce a dress code that seems to apply differently given the bouncer/night/crowd.
by Olivia G. on Came here with one girl friend... she remembered it being 'different' but I had never been. The crowd was okay, I didn't have the best time... But then we decided to sit down and take a picture, and my friend's purse/clutch/lookedmorelikeamakeupbag was stolen.. it sucked partly because I was too intoxicated to grasp the severity (she drove from where we originally went that night (where my car was) to here). The bouncers (who were extremely flirtatious and not doing their job) were fairly helpful.. after the club closed (and during it still being opened) they walked around with flashlights helping us look even though it was obvious that my friend was 'got' and there was no point in trying to look. The drinks were good though :)
by Delmer Larive on They might as well have gone ahead and named this place "slut" or "hussy or "wench". On second thought, "Harlot" sounds better. Glancing at the other reviews, it doesn't seem like this is a choice place to hit up during the weekend for several reasons. However, stopping here to take the edge off during the work week is a good idea. Three dollar beers, mixed clientele, grooveable music, and creepy pseudo-eduardian/goth decor a la Etiquette make Harlot more than another notch in my happy hour belt.
