Slide so far is the second to best place for testing the phenomenon that is my douchebag repelling module. Reason being probably because the best one is right above it, and the repellables  come right downstairs when it is closed. The place is so-so. The decor looks promising, but tacky details throw things off. The seating sorts and separates, and without any modularity or freedom of rearranging, shifting, or merging it not only feels wrong, but absolutely halts the process of cross-flock mingling. It is very well known that cross-flock and cross-pack mixing ensures hybridization (and thus, once in a million produces desirable new features) and decreases chances of breeding a degenerate. Niches around the seating near the bar emphasize just how low the ceiling is. I think if Levende moved its furniture here, it would work out better.  And what is  it with borrowing the carpet from Denny's? Big lose out on the layout. The music is like a pirate joke - boring, repeating, and painfully predictable. Apparently last Thursday's DJ's recipe is something along the lines of taking a previous decades' rock, metal, or pop hit and mixing the same bundz-bundz-bundz track into it. Mixing it for one minute, slowing down to a complete stop resulting in stumble, replacing main hit ingredient with the next big hit, and repeating. Boooooring. Oh, and sometimes he raised the pitch and volume way too high, which probably resulted in some ear bleeding. Bar is easy to get to: there are no vines of liqueured up people hanging off each other trying to get to the bartenders through vines of completely alcohol preserved specimens trying to hold onto something so they don't come crashing down to the floor. My margarita was strong enough to put a large bull to sleep. But it also tasted very good and was definitely drinkable. (NTS: two of those margaritas are strong enough to put me out of control and into morning misery). The delight of drinking here is actually not drinking, but being asked to get rid of your drink at 1:30AM. Who does this? Close the bar, let people finish their drinks. Very anti-user and definitely could be conflict provoking. This place is also trying to pass up as a club. Well, if they keep their fans/conditioner/air circulation off, they might succeed at turning into a mass grave. A very stinky one at that. Best of all was running into my most favorite blond man (and we all know how I feel about all but two blond men) and totally ripping apart the so-called dance floor (aka future grave sight and young good-for-nothings memorial) with him and company. BTW, let me say this, very sincerely: Brits rock. Yep, accents - hot, all hair brushed to the front into a spike - hot, being a brunette and freckled - hot. Someone out of the douche pack was brave enough to walk up to me and ask me where the hell I came from. "Uh. Moon. Can't you tell by the way I dance?" Otherwise, whatever, not that great of a place.

This place is absolutely beautiful.  It has such a great vibe, perfect music and ambiance and good food.  Although I'd say my favorite sushi is here in SF, it was still a good eat.  The management here is very organized and courteous and must i say again, the music rocks the house.  The giant Buddha in the back is outstanding.  Will definitely come back for sure... much love to the Buddha Bar.

I've only ever been on weekends, which means that I've had to deal with crowds and cover charges and all of that fun. It's the same for Marquee and most of the other clubs in the vicinity. While I'm standing in line freezing cold or trying to woo the bouncers into letting me and my friends in, I always think to myself  "what the hell am I doing here??" But the minute I'm through the doors I forget about all of that and have a hell of a time. The music rocks, the place is just cool, and the drinks are great. Once you're in.
