by Jessica B. on Balance - Saturday Nights I loved this venue. Went there last night for my birthday. Had a blast and so did my friend who I wasn't sure about since most of them are not followers of house music. The vibe was nice--music was fantastic (GO Marques!!), lighting was fun, the brick wall atmosphere was cool, and the people were nice with good dancing skills. The one complaint I have is that the drinks were the WEAKEST that I have EVER experienced at a club. Which is funny because a few people on here mentioned the strong drinks. TIP: START DRINKING BEFORE YOU COME!! First, my friend ordered a vodka tonic and it literally tasted like Sprite. There seemed to be absolutely no alcohol in her drink. Then, my husband ordered me a vodka cranberry with easy ice. He watched them mix a ton of water in with my drink!! My other friend ordered a rum and coke--same scenario! So from then on we stuck with shots and beers. Pretty disappointing! All in all, a great birthday!
