One word: SEXY Decor of MW was definitely sexy and chic especially with the burlesque mural painting stretched across the main bar. http://static1.px.rateclubs...The people, may I add, are definitely the sexier diverse crowd compared to other clubs.  May I emphasize again, it is a diverse crowd until some promoters decide to host events at this venue( which is probably not anytime soon ).  I guess some people was a bit pretentious but that's life!  You run into them everywhere!  So pretentious that some girl decided to smack my friend and just walked away. lol !!!  The bartenders are sexy!  Beautiful girls that are quick at serving.  I definitely had an AWESOME time at MW.  Music was awesome and up to date. Plenty of parking around the venue. There's a whole foods right around the corner if you need to pre-party with wine and sake. The minus star is ONLY for the $10 cover EVEN if you are on guestlist. Sad part is I also came here on time when doors open at 9:30pm and still had to pay.  My group was predominantly guys so we didn't want to risk the complications with bouncers when the place started to get crackin'.  Definitely be in line before 1030pm though or else $20 will be given to you.  AND minus star for the expensive drinks.  I normally dont mind if its expensive but the shots are ridiculously TINY!!!!  Pour a little bit more please MW, you already take our money for cover!!!  They don't have GOOSE either. only belvedere! I was disappointed in the bathrooms.  The girls line was long the WHOLE entire time.  There is only 3 bathroom stalls where 1 was out of order and 1 wasn't able to flush at all. May I add.. that they served the BEST PINEAPPLE JUICE EVER known in a club?!?! I definitely recommend you getting pineapple juice as chasers on the side.  All of my friends agree too, especially how we were all chasing down our juice after our shot and then we were all " omg this is so gooooood."

I used to work for a Korean singer/producer who has his own entertainment company in Manhattan now, and after his concert at Madison Square Garden, he treated all the staff and employees to a hearty lunch at Tao. I don't know if it was the fact that I was chatting and eating lunch with one of the most-famous singers in Korea who was now my boss, or the fact that I hadn't gotten any sleep and was dead-tired from the concert the night before, or the fact that he doesn't eat red meat or poultry so he ordered strictly veggie and seafood dishes, but I didn't enjoy the food itself very much.  It's hard to remember what I ordered... oh wait, that's right- I DIDN'T order.  He pretty much just ordered a whole bunch of stuff from the menu on his own and we ate whatever came out.  It was good, but nothing stood out except for this raw fish that came out and you cooked it on a hot stone.  An all too familiar concept, no? The decor was lovely, as expected.  The high-ceilings were high.  The big Buddha was BIG.  I mean, I think Tao is one of those places where you know exactly what it's going to be like, and it ends up being exactly as you imagined.  Does this make sense?  Typical Asian-fusion big ole fancy shmancy restaurant.  Really enjoyed my company and the time spent itself though.  The restaurant is huge and bustling but not chaotic and I was able to hear my dining partners over the light din. I've also been to Tao in Vegas.  Not the restaurant, but the club.  Had a mothereffing blast there.  Biggest most complicated club I've been in, I think.  Perhaps I'll write a review, perhaps I won't.  I told myself I'd only rateclubs about restaurants/bars/lounges... Definitely hit up Tao if you've never been, but just know that it's not extraordinary.

I've never been to a Nikki Beach in other parts of the world, but the hostess was eager to rattle off the locations of them for us.  I actually had a really good experience at Nikki Midtown.  I was in love with the decor . . . I think it would be a great place for a birthday party or a date.  There are tables that are tucked into the corners of the rooms and white cushions abound.  Rumor has it, late at night when it becomes more of a club people use the extraordinarily large center table on the lower level as a dancefloor.  The service was impecable - our hostess was very accomodating and extremely friendly.  Our waitress was one of the best waitresses I've ever had in New York.  She checked on us often, made our drinks to perfection and maintained an overall calm and cheery demeanor even though she was also handling a really large birthday party of about 30.  While I thought the menu could use more choices, the choices they did have seemed delicious - especially if tropical food fare is your thing.  My two friends and I shared two appetizers off the tapas menu and two entrees and it was MORE than enough food.  We actually didn't finish it all so I think it is safe to say their portions are more than satisfying.  The food was enjoyable, although I thought the fish could have been a little softer and the chicken satay . . . a little sweeter.  I would definitely reccommend Nikki Midtown.
