by neal m. on So i had heard about this place from a co-worker. He mentioned that it was a "really nice" sports bar. Honestly, i miss the HUGE sports bars like back home b/c most of them here are kinda small. Like a normal bar with some tv's in it. Well, it's not that small here. It is REALLY nice. Beautiful decor and the food. WHOA! The menu is really impressive. Also one of their burgers is one of the top burgers according to Texas Monthly. I went for a late lunch and had a lite lunch a few hours earlier. My friend got said burger and it smelled and looked DELICIOUS. The french fries were wonderful. I opted for the Allandale salad with a few modifications (no egg and goat cheese sub the bleu cheese). It was AMAZING. The service was impeccable and the patio was pretty darn comfortable even at 3 PM. I'll definitely be going back even if i do live way down south!
by Quinn E. on But I wanted Chinese food! Here, I got chicken and broccoli which was very stripped down. The chicken had no corn starch yumminess, coating it, just a light layer of the very mild sauce it was in. That's all well and good for my mom or someone who wants a heart-healthy meal, but that's not me. I don't want a glorified Lean Cuisine, I want chicken and broccoli, stir fried and coated with tasty sauce. I could've made the meal I had at Golden Temple at home, and I'm Irish. On the positive side, the waiter was very nice. And I do like that their meats are drug free. I bet my mom would be totally into this place though, she loves that healthy stuff. The decor is Miami circa 1989, with snippets of cute accents.
by Andres Terault on tonight, i had a client go there. people say the bouncers are rude just about anywhere, but here, they were extremely pretentious. girls should NOT be allowed at the door, and old 40 year old dudes as bouncers? come on, wheres the big black jamaican dude? over it, would NEVER send a client there, and would never go there myself. done.
