Models and hot people wasted on too many substances...The prices are normal for a place that is trying really hard to be weird. Not for you if you're sensitive, might be shocking for some, fun for others. If you are open for new, weird, edgy stuff check it out.
by Lianne Bisson on Wow, what to say about this place. I'm torn because I do really like the food. But every time I go the wait is RIDICULOUS! I've never truly seen this place get packed, but I think to them, 15 people is considered packed. I called in my order to pick up yesterday at 3:15 pm and the chick that took my order said it would be 10 minutes. I gave them 10 minutes and drove to the establishment expecting a wait (based on past experiences) but I had NO idea I would be waiting AN HOUR. That's right people. I placed my order at 3:15 and didn't leave the establishment until 4:27pm. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of calling in and placing an order "to go"? She kept saying they were busy and I kept thinking "with what"? There were maybe 5 tables occupied in the entire establishment. I know she was the only person working up front and I do know she working pretty hard, but wtf was goin on in the kitchen that would take an hour to make some yams, greens, and peas? I'm convinced the cook has one arm. I even saw a couple of the patrons getting their own condiments from the cabinet and getting up to pour their own water because there was no one to help them. They offered me a free piece of the coconut cake for the inconvenience. The cake was yummy but I would rather have had my time back. I'm sure I'll go back because I do enjoy the food but my visits will be few and far between for a few reasons: 1. A bit pricey for what it is 2. The abysmal wait 3. I've called on a couple of occasions and no one answered even when I knew they were open. It's a shame. I try to support black owned businesses but when the service is this bad it makes it a little hard to do.
by Oanh N. on I have been here twice in the last month! I came to see Common in concert and the downstairs area, which is fairly spacious, was packed that night. You would have to walk through a crowd to get to the restrooms and bar. Luckily, we purchased vip tickets which allowed access upstairs with a separate bar and fewer people. Second visit was to see DJAM for a sponsored event by Diet Pepsi. Now this time, the dance floor wasn't so crowded and there was unlimited access upstairs. but with all the dancing we did, we could care less about being upstairs when all the action was downstairs. This venue is quite large with sufficient space. so if you find the place to be crowded, it probably means the event is a very popular one.
