by Adam R. on I know that bowling seems to be trending upward, but I can't really figure out why there needs to be a "luxe" bowling alley. No wait, I figured it out... It's because of its proximity to Jersey. Let's count it out, shall we? Skunky beer. Semi-slow service. Crappy music. Expensive from what I can tell. 21+, A dress code that dictates the bagginess of clothing, head gear, and forbids motorcycle jackets (I think). What if I was an awkward teenager with really bad teeth who tried to fit in by wearing a baggy motorcycle jacket because it's all I could afford from the thrift shop near me in Jersey? I'd be totally screwed! Their few saving graces are that they help promote local artists, have a fairly nice staff, and keep the place clean. But if you want to bowl, go somewhere else. There are options.

Service: very quick Aesthetic: clean and airy (teal and chocolate (see Restoration Hardware wrapping paper)) with nice fireplace Coffee: bitter with an aftertaste of Folgers Crystals Brownie: *very* dry WiFi: free Music: Coldplay and more Coldplay. One song, maybe, but the whole damned album?! The whole damned album!! And it was friggin' LOUD! Price: good ($2 brownie and $1.30 cup of drip coffee) fast service + free WiFi + good prices (during the day) = 2 stars Update 5/31: Upon closer listening, I think this is many different Coldplay albums on random. And it feels like it's getting louder. Mind boggling.
