by Erin M. on This is one of those places you need to try in the city, just to say you've tried it. I enjoyed the food, but I enjoy Asian Fusion. I went during Restaurant Week in Summer 2010- The take out bag is a reusable bag that lists all the restaurants that are part of the same group. The service was pretty good. I've come back once more since then, but only for drinks. I think the drinks are pretty tasty but a tad on the pricey end. It depends what type of night you are looking for and how much you want to spend.
by Johnny C. on WOW THIS PLACE IS RACIST!! they said my korean friend can go in, but not the other three people with me!! wtf!! one of the people in my group even knew 2 of the people and still couldnt get iN!! and the other people were spanish, but not korean!! DONT EVEN BOTHER GOING HERE UNLESS YOU ARE KOREAN!! F**K THIS place and the other RACIST place "hiro" THE REVIEWS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES 2.5 STARS... there are better clubs in cali that dont need to be racist
by Loyd Bobbitt on Christmas Day dim sum in the Richmond, New Years Eve with a crowd of Swedes in the Mission, wild nights of gay partying in the Castro, even a day spent on Union St in the Marina... never have I felt like such a foreigner as I did last night at Harlot. Girls in tiny dressy dresses, hitting me in the head with their Prada and Louis Vuitton bags. Every guy but me wearing slacks and a fancy shirt. The raw themeyness of the venue screaming out for more pieces of flair, perhaps a corset or two. Is this really San Francisco? Did I get somehow teleported to the East Coast? Perhaps New Jersey? Ahh, my apologies, that last bit was rather unfair. I am simply unused to nights in the Financial District. Why did Harlot evict us from our table, placing a Reserved sign on it? Do people really reserve tables there? Why? So many questions, so few answers. The bouncer at the door, asking some incoming visitors if they are having table service... it doesn't compute. The place was more than half empty at 10 on a Friday! Perhaps the terrible music was to blame.
