Despite the fact that the prices here are a little out of my range, I love going to Pod for drinks. I've never had the food, so I can't speak on it, but I've heard from a friend that it's not bad. My favorite thing about this place, obviously, is the atmosphere. My friends and I love to hang out on those gaudy red plastic block things they have in the bar area and just chill while we have our drinks. The lighting in this place is obviously the main attraction -- everything lights up! You can change the lighting colors if you're sitting in one of the booths eating, there are circle lights all over the ceilings and floors, and the little tiny table/chair combos in the bar area light up when you sit on them [great for hours of giggles when you're further into the drinks]. It's bright and fun without being overwhelming, which, IMO, is difficult to do. The service here is pretty good, too. I've never had to wait long for a drink, and the bartenders are *always* really nice and fun and flirty [both guys and girls]. The drinks are SO much fun, too. They have a lot of specialty "girly" drinks, and while I'm usually a whiskey and coke kinda girl, I can't stay away from their pom-tinis. The special drinks are good to try out at least once, just to say you did. :)

Great dive bar in Little 5. Cheap drinks and interesting shows. Don't miss the Elvis shrine. I don't come here too often but I always have a good time when I do. Went to the EARL Christmas party here a couple years back and had a great time.

Tried to be exclusive but failed miserably ( http://www.suedesf.com). This place was hot for a couple months in the early summer of 2004, but its burnt out already.
