If there had to be ONE thing I miss most about the Greater Boston area when I decided to head out and live on the road, it's this place. It has THE best dance night in Boston. I'm not talking about Heart Throb or Make it New, covered well enough by previous reviews. As good as they are, there are definite faults with each of them - personally, I find the crowd to be a bit pretentious and/or stuffy for each. What I'm talking about, and almost appalled to not see covered yet, is DISCONNECTION. On the third Tuesday of every month, from 11 pm until way beyond normal closing time, DJs Supremeone and Kon throw down the best mix of disco, house, and funk you'll find ANYWHERE outside of NYC. Everyone who goes there loves music. Not themselves. They go there to dance and drink and have a good time, and that's what they do. And so do I. Yea, the place is a big square, like a small HS school - so where else could the bar go except for at one end of it? Sometimes the wait is a bit long, but considering the location and popularity of the place, the drink prices are VERY fair. Breakdance circles will open up at some point, which I find to be really entertaining, and sometimes join. But, if you find that annoying, don't sweat it - they don't last forever. Then you get back to sweatin' in your own groove. Check it out, you'll thank me. Go, let go, and get down till the lights go up and the crowd moves out.

Sure... I need to explore the entire array of vodka drinks a bit more.... I tire of the same ol' places and familiar decor.... Company is everything... its cool to drink alone and this would have been the right place for it...... Bartender briefed us on the two dollar tacos on Tuesday before we settled into the cushy u-shaped booths across from the dj... It was a Monday and I really didn't expect the place to be poppin.... Couple regulars at the bar zoning out to the music that seemed to be picking up as the night went on... Spin around on that barstool and watch the city pass you by just outside the tall glass front.... The more and more I explore places like these I realize that around every corner is opportunity.... You just never know what you will find or who you will find it with.... Such is life... Thanks for the stiff drink:)

Just opened - very cool. The design - with banquettes all around and a dance platform in the middle - makes the space feel intimate and cliquey without being claustrophobic. Went to a party hosted by J. Lo here. Very danceable music.
