by Dean Laperouse on Met a friend here for drinks on 12/22..(which turned into 2,3,4,5 friends) and have to say this place has a lot going for it: *Amazing views of the city *Impeccable service *Great ambiance *Live band on a Tuesday night? *Upscale, energetic crowd *Bathrooms always have a floor-to-ceiling view of the city Also ordered the french fries and they were perfectly crisp and golden.
by Ninja H. on My SJ friends spin here sometimes so I came out one night to support, but unfortunately missed their set =( Well, the positive thing about that is that now we can all drink and dance!! =) Drinks were okay...two bars (one downstairs and one upstairs). Love that both of them are strategically located so that no one waiting at the bar ends up blocking the dance floors. The dance floor downstairs is kinda tiny but the one upstairs is pretty spacious. Love that it wasn't a packed sardine can. I like being on the dance floor when I don't have to continuously say excuse me or sorry to the person dancing next to me because I keep bumping into them, but also like when others are close enough so that I can still feel their vibin groove. Be careful of those stairs now!!...it was amusing watching many stumbling down or missing a few steps AHAHAHA
by Dillon Jirak on Bowling is awesome ... and I go to Bowlmor sometimes ... because ... well ... I just have to bowl. However, that's about all Bowlmor is good at. Unfortunately, the "we're the most convenient bowling alley in new york and we know it" attitude has resulted in pretty high prices (bowling+booze+shoes) and lanes/balls that seem like they're steadily declining in quality without much upkeep. I'll put it this way: I don't yet own my own bowling ball. But one day I will. And when I do, I won't bring that ball to Bowlmor out of fear for what the rapidly aging Bowlmor machines and lanes will do to it. We only go to Bowlmor because we have to. I think there's a chance that Bowlmor and Time Warner are sleeping together and sharing secrets on how to provide overall bad customer experiences.
