by Kelly K. on One of the better aquariums I have visited across the US. I enjoyed the moving platform that allows you to stand and watch the fish swimming overhead. Love how each section of the aquarium is themed and several of the areas have "hands on" activities. I took my 2 yr old son (who was free) and he loved it especially the slide and boat near one of the hands on areas. Very cool!!! Recommend to everyone who is thinking about going.
by TJ T. on So, for some reason, my friends choose this place as a barhop destination...which is fine by me, especially since it works as a pickup from something pre-gamey such as the Lazy Ox Canteen or the Far Bar, or as prep for late night karaoke... in other words, it's a side adventure for those wasted out of their minds who need some eye candy/hook up o'clock targets/general debauchery. It's pretty intense in terms of its decor and dancing, and thick with culture. Kind of off the beaten path if you intend to stumble here and back from, say, Little Tokyo. Drinks were OK in strength, but that's always subject to change. In summary, good alternative to the Edison if that part of downtown is busy, and you're looking for that kind of scene.

Bad bartenders. Cash only, gouging ATM - what a crock of crap. Someone should report them to the IRS as they're obviously pulling some shady shit with their finances. For some reason this place has a lot of cred with the hipster set, but avoid it at all costs.
