Picture a dark lit room, filled with cigar infused air, a man in a 3 piece pinstriped suit sipping on some cognac. Shoes polished, hat with brim real low...oh my gosh, did I just describe JoJo from Jodeci or Jon B? Remember them? Oh no. Forget them. Insert your desired guy or gal above. If only fantasy was reality. Regardless, it's all there. Complete with a swanky billiard room, chess table , and dark walls. This is the kinda club that would have been hip during the years of prohibition. I loved the decor and would recommend going on a day where you can truly own the place.
by Victoria A. on Why all the hate? I went to Rosa Mexicano with my boyfriend for Valentine's day and I absolutely had no qualms. We got the famed guacamole and it was so delicious that I wanted to lick the bowl. As said in other reviews, it was made fresh in front of us and well worth the $12. Our waitress was amazing and very attentive. She asked for dietary concerns and directed the boyfriend to another dish since he was allergic to shrimp. He had the Tablones and I had the Arrachera Con Camarones. They were both delicious and a pretty decent portion that when we were done eating those, we had no room for dessert. The bill came out to around $60, no alcoholic drinks. Very good for dates, the interior is gorgeous!
by Mira Ludolph on New review: Originally I had given this place 3 stars - but after waiting in line for 25 minutes on a Saturday night (at 12:30) with 2 guys and 1 other girl, the bouncer rudely told us that he "wanted us to go to a bar, but we won't be getting into this one unless we lose the guys" - first of all, why the FUCK didn't you tell us this 25 minutes ago, and second - why the FUCK are you letting in people on the other side of the line?? If you come across the douchebag bouncer with shiny fucking plastic shoes and ugly 40's-style rimmed glasses, get the fuck away. Oh wait, unless you're a group of ugly ass scantily clad White girls.. Anyway don't expect to get in here if it's past midnight and you're a guy or with a guy. Otherwise, here's my previous review, but I'm keeping it 1 star: Went on a Saturday night - nice since there was no cover. Definitely an older crowd... Upper twenties. Apparently the upstairs was VIP but I somehow managed to get up there... multiple times. Basically if you're a girl and you smile at the bouncer, he'll happily move aside the velvet rope - no convincing necessary. I actually spent most of my time here staring down at everyone, since that's what you're supposed to do when you're VIP. But really, it was just OK - I wasn't a big fan of the random music, but that's just me. Everyone else seemed happy. Just annoying since there was literally no where to sit. Also - just FYI, it wasn't THAT pretty. It's also kind of small.
