by Bryan H. on This place is fun, especially on Friday or Saturday nights. It has a certain ambiance that the rest of the nearby establishments lacks. Still, there are some cons; the roped off area when you immediately enter the bar, just to the right, takes up valuable space during the busiest hours. On Saturday nights it can get so busy that you can't even walk from one side of the bar to the next. Still, I digress; the drinks can be quite good, the bathroom has its own attendant, and the owner is an awesome guy who gave me an umbrella while we stood outside in line and in the rain. They also take credit, which is unheard of in the castro.
by Lauren J. on Great club, great sound, lots of space and a good, mixed crowd. Definitely check out mashup DJs at Bootie every other Saturday. Not many bars can boat successful gay and straight scenes on the same night, but DNA can!
by Dominick Wylam on Great burgers! If you're going to pay $9 for a hamburger, this is the place to do it. Don't forget to get the sweet potato fries.......& if you wanna go for a real calorie fest............ the milkshakes are good too. Unfortunately, I will say I was rather disappointed with the Red Velvet Cupcake. It was just the opposite of what it should be. It's dry & there is waaaaaay too much frosting. Service is good, but expect to wait a little bit for a table, no matter what time you go.
