by Anna C. on UGHHH I WANT TO LOVE THIS PLACE BUT I DON'T! Waited in line for like 30 mins which docked the place down a star and the bouncers were pretty rude. Ok, scratch that. Only one of them was an ass and the other one a sweetheart. However, no cover, so awesome. Bar didn't take too long and drinks were decent price and the jello shots 4 for $20 were stronggggg. the way i likeyyyy. Crowd was the typical Polk St. crowd. Not gonna lie, didn't even make it to the dance floor because of the jello shots and AMFs we had, stayed near the bar and the table area cause we were able to get a table. It's cash only! but there's an atm machine right inside by the door. I would love it if it didn't take too long to get in and wasn't wayy too crowded but it's a nice spot.
by Paul L. on You stand in line with smelly trash cans all around (nothing like the smell of rotting food to get you hungry) and you get up to the front and see signs "This is America Speak English" and nasty servers. When I travel to different countries, I am glad they are not as nasty. Can you imagine going to Italy and not eating because you don't speak fluent Italian? Shame on Genos!
by Monty Linkkila on Waizema is a great spot for food or drinks or both. It looks and feels like a bar inside and they have the absolute best red velvety wallpaper in the world. There are a couple of tvs and even a pool table in the back. The food is tasty and very reasonably priced as well. The spicy chicken stew is my personal favorite. I like the veggie combo too. Service can be a little on the slow side when it gets busy, but that's to be expected. I've been coming here for years and it's definitely a neighborhood favorite for me.
