by Sapna M. on I really wanted a cool place to take my friend out for her birthday. This venue looked interesting - an art gallery that becomes a club at night - cool, right? Well, the venue itself is pretty cool, big open space, high ceilings, two rooms that can be joined into one, interesting art on the walls. However, our night ended early because the DJ was AWFUL. We were there on Saturday - June 12. It was supposed to be 90's night - which was okay by us, even though we are not huge 90's fans, because it worked with our schedule. Anyhow, the DJ did remind us of a few good songs from the 90's, but every time the whole floor would start to get energized and things would start moving, he'd cut the song short, and kill the vibe. He seemed to just be picking random songs off a list, couldn't mix them at all, and kept ruining the flow. He should not be a DJ anywhere - can't believe anyone would give him a gig. I think having a 90's playlist on shuffle would have been about the same, if not better. So - it's a cool venue, but be sure to research the music and stuff before you go, or you might end up with a buzz kill.
by Cristin Timothy on Girls night out! We went to Prana for small plates prior to dancing. We came early so we could stay later for the after party. DJ was spinning later. We were all pleasantly suprised by the food. We all shared and tasted everything. My friend had the fish special, butterfish from Hawaii. We all loved it. I had Ahi lumpias & asparagus soup (made with coconut milk)... AWESOME! Another friend had the peanut soup, and that was really good. I tried the drink " the devil made me do it" and loved it. It had Tequila in it! I normally can't drink te-kill-ya! But, I did get super drunk later. Probably created a small problem when I started drinking Jager..... my bad! Overall, we LOVED this place. The service was EXCELLENT! The nice lady who sat us was AWESOME, our server was just as awesome. What a great night out! We hadn't been out this way in over a year! We had a fantastic time! THANK YOU!
