by Miakka N. on I'm going to start a rateclubs list called "Food I Will Travel and Slay Gorgon's For" and at the top will be BBP. Seriously. My sister was moving from Philly, and I volunteered to help her move specifically so I could go to BBP. It is that serious. I am a turkey burger connoisseur, and beyond a doubt it is the best turkey burger I've ever had. They are so deliciously meaty and seasoned, every time I taste I ascent to 7th heaven. And the black and white milkshake?? I die. Divine. I might start a moving business in Philly and accept BBP turkey burgers and milkshakes as payment. I have no shame. They are that good.

The music is great and the drinks were decently priced, but this place just gets so cramped since it is tiny small. However, I can't complain too much since we have had a lot of fun nights here through the years.
by Luis Godzik on My cousins from Canada (4 guys) are visiting. They wanted me to take them out somewhere in LA/Hollywood. I wanted a bar/lounge but they wanted to party and go to a club. I don't go clubbing a lot and I'm not familiar with what's "good". They had special requests. They wanted a mixed crowd (no Asian invasion) and somewhat nice (not ghetto but not boujie). I seriously did not know where to take them! Even with rateclubs's help. So I ended up reverting back to what I knew. I've been here once before and it was okay. Mixed crowd... not too far from them & me. I went with my brother and the 4 cousins went with another guy cousin that they're staying with. I had put us on the guest list HOPING it would help but obviously not. LOL Around 10, the line was already pretty long. My brother and I were pretty early so we walked around and by the time we came back, whoa! lol So I try to cut our wait time short. I go up to one of the bouncers up in the front of the line. ME: Excuse me, I have a question. Where do I go if I'm on the guest list? B1: *Looks at me up and down* Are you by yourself? ME: No... I'm with a group B1: Ladies? ME: No... all guys... B1: Back of the line *points to end of long line* ME = pWNED! LOL!!! Lesson learned when you're with a group of 6 guys and they're not pretty enough to pass as girls. lol Damn! Anyway, the line it was. The cousins finally came and we were waiting in line. I told them the story and they suggested just getting a table because they were going to order bottle service anyways. So of course I said I'd go talk to them again. I told them to stay back since it's such a man-hater atmosphere. LOL... I talk to the same guy (BTW who is pretty intimidating and scary). I asked him about getting bottle service. He said he'll get the girl that's supposed to help me. How nice -_-. People keep coming in left and right because of their "connections". He was pretty rude to this group of guys walking through though... "Keep walking guys! Fuck!" and pushing them through... Damn! So I was like.. crap he might eat me alive or something! But surprisingly he was pretty nice to me (thank you femaleness!). He was even "concerned" that the lady who was supposed to talk to me hadn't come yet and he went back to check up on her. He told he she was pretty busy but she'll come see me right away. Okay so I'm standing there still by myself. A little comment or two between me and another bouncer on my left that's manning the other entrance. ** Some guy is telling him that he looks sharp and I look at the bouncer ** B2: I think he's hitting on me but I like girls ME: *laughs* How cute Then a couple minutes after he notices I'm still there B2: Are you waiting for something? ME: I'm supposed to talk to a lady about bottle service. The other guy told me to wait here B2: What?! *Removes the stretchy barricade thing* Just go in! Go down all the way to your right and talk to Roxy and (name I don't remember). Me: Oh thanks!! Progress!!! Score 1 for team Angelique! lol Okay so I go over there, ask one of the security who Roxy is and he said she's inside but will be back and told me to wait for her over in the corner. I wait.... wait... wait... Then finally she comes out! I asked her if there was an available table, she explains the "rules" $50 up front. 20% gratuity added to bill, no cover free for the people in the group and needed my credit card and driver's license. She tells me to get the rest of my group and I do. We ended up waiting in the wrong line after she gave us our tickets but she was such a sweetheart that she came and got me and made sure we got in. The one bouncer checking IDs almost made us move but she told him no and that we were waiting a long time. Bottle service = way too expensive and not worth it. :P But I don't go clubbing often, so whatever. It was just for my cousins to have a good time and have enough time to enjoy (and not waiting in line). Cheapest vodka was $250. Grey Goose was $500! WTF?! Yeah never again! lol However, we still ended up having a good time. They were all over the place and they seemed to like it. Fun times! So that's why I gave it 3 stars. I love my cousins and bro! Other than that.. Probably a 2 :P
